STRUCTURE: The primary care trust is on course to fully divest its provider arm by the transforming community services deadline of April 2011, its strategic health authority has said.

Medway’s community service provider is among the previous government’s first wave of “right to request” social enterprises.

According to NHS South East Coast board papers, the SHA confirmed assurance against TCS tests in December 2011 and further meetings were planned with staff organisations in February.

The papers state: “The proposal for a Social Enterprise is currently undergoing due diligence and active testing stages which, subject to assurance and approval, is planned for go-live by 1st April 2011.”
