PERFORMANCE: Broomfield Hospital has been criticised for its use of care planning in a Care Quality Commission report.

The CQC had minor concerns about the safe and appropriate care. “People’s needs were not always accurately assessed and treatment plans were not always available to guide staff and ensure that people received the support they required,” it said.

Care planning was generic and not person-centred, while patients were not always weighed adequately. However, a CQC inspection found that record keeping was now compliant.
