WORKFORCE: The Care Quality Commission has found two new moderate concerns at Mid Essex Hospital Services Trust, in a January inspection.

The CQC concluded that the trust is in breach of two outcomes, 13 and 14, declaring a moderate concern for each. These concerns are “staffing (insufficient staff receiving mandatory training and induction)” and “supporting workers (insufficient staff receiving annual appraisal)”.

Thus trust’s overall status is now a total of four minor concerns and two moderate concerns (six concerns).
