FINANCE: Mid Essex PCT is forecasting a surplus for the 2010-11 financial year of £3m, which is £2m better than the plan.

In the latest report of the PCT’s finances as at the end of February, the PCT reported a surplus to date of £3.3m, which is £2.4m better than profiled budget.

The report said: “The PCT was aiming to maximise the outturn surplus in order to carry forward as much resource as possible into 2011-12 when the financial position is likely to be much tighter.

“The PCT is forecasting an outturn surplus of £3m which is £2m better than the plan.”
