FINANCE: More than £13m of saving schemes for this year are yet to be identified by the North Essex primary care trust cluster.

The cluster, which includes NHS Mid Essex, NHS North East Essex and NHS West Essex, has a target of £56.8m under the quality, innovation, productivity and prevention (QIPP) programme.

A report to the cluster’s boards said, at the end of June, the PCTs had delivered 92 per cent of the planned savings. But, it said, there is a “gap” of £13.1m of savings yet to be identified across the cluster.
