PERFORMANCE: Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is one of ten trusts nationally to fail against the target to see 95 per cent of accident and emergency patients within four hours.

SHA board papers report: “Mid Yorkshire was the only organisation within the region who failed to deliver a year end position of 95% or above, their year-end performance being 94.86%. This level of underperformance is of national significance as they rank as one of ten trusts nationally who failed to deliver the year-end target.

“An A&E performance improvement plan has been received from Mid Yorkshire as part of the SHA’s Single Integrated Plan submission to DH, this will be monitored by the SHA performance management team moving forwards.”

The previous target of 98 per cent was replaced with 95 per cent in June.
