FINANCE: Birmingham Cross City clinical commissioning group is forecasting a year end surplus amid a lack of data on their main acute contract.
July board papers said: “At the time of closing the month two financial position, there is limited information available from provider trusts on which to make firm forecasts.
“For the majority of budgets there is therefore an assumption that a breakeven position will be achieved, although adjustments have been made where early information is available.
“The year to date position as set out above shows a year to date surplus of £700,000 against the year to date surplus target of £700,000.
“At month two, the CCG’s reported financial performance is in line with plan. The CCG does not yet have validated activity data from its acute providers so the year end forecast also remains in line with plan at this stage.”
