FINANCE: Birmingham South Central Clinical Commissioning Group has a £6.8m efficiency target for 2013-14.
Of this £4.1m is reflected in budgets, with £2.7m to be delivered in year through “activity management”.
July board papers said: “At month two it is assumed in the absence of detailed information that the programme is on plan. Monitoring arrangements have been established through the programme management office.”
So far £2.8m of quality, innovation, productivity and prevention schemes have not been identified.
The sum “relates primarily to demand management initiatives”.
