FINANCE: NHS Bradford and Airedale was expected to end 2012-13 with a surplus of £7.5m.

A paper to the board of NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven CCG in May - one of several successor organisations to NHS Bradford and Airedale PCT - said the organisation was expecting to end 2012-13 “in line with its projected plan” to report a surplus of £7.5m.

The paper also said that neighbouring NHS Yorkshire and York PCT was expected to finish the year with a deficit of £12m, a smaller deficit than it had planned for earlier in the year, following cost saving measures.
