Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group reported a forecast year end deficit of £8.6m, according to board papers.

The board papers say: “It is clear that the CCG faces a significant financial challenge in 13/14 due a combination of factors a) pressure on acute contracts and prescribing b) issues with respect to our baseline allocation c) less than full delivery of planned savings.

“This is a serious financial position and the organisation is doing all it can to mitigate this in order for the CCG to meet its statutory financial duty.”
