A second bidder has dropped out the bidding process for an £800m older services people services contract being tendered by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group.

A paper being discussed by the CCG’s board meeting on 5 November revealed Albion Care Alliance has withdrawn from the process.

Albion is the second of 10 pre-qualified bidders to withdraw from the process.

It follows a consortium led by Capita with Cambridgeshire Community Services, Oxford Health Foundation Trust and private health provider Circle dropping out last month.
