STRUCTURE: Two members of Darlington CCG’s governing body are stepping down, due to health reasons and retirement.
A governing body paper by the CCG’s chief officer said: “John Williams has relinquished, by mutual agreement, his responsibilities as lay member for Governance with effect from May 2013. His decision results from his significant health issues meaning he is unable to properly fulfil his responsibilities. Arrangements are now being put in place to recruit a new lay member, with Governance duties being mananged by Michelle Thompson in the interim.
“Also, Harry Byrne has finally retired from General Practice in May 2013 following many years of practice in Darlington. He is replaced as Deputy Lead Clinician by Patrick Holmes from Felix House, Middle St. George. Both Harry and John have been instrumental in the establishment of Darlington CCG as a statutory organisation and we wish them well for the future.”
