FINANCE: Portsmouth clinical commissioning group delivered a surplus in 2012-13 despite a £6m overspend on acute care.

May board papers show that the CCG spent £254.8m in 2012-13 against a budget of £257.3m. Acute commissioning was £5.7m overspent, while non NHS commissioning was £4m worse than plan.

The CCG was £2.1m better than plan on primary care commissioning, and released £10.2m of reserves to fill the gap.
