FINANCE Recent board papers for South Lincolnshire CCG reveal that the organisation has had £5.6m removed from its baseline to fund specialised services that will transfer to NHS England.

They warn however that the plan assumes that this sum can be removed from its assumed baselines with providers and there is a “high risk that this is not the case”.

“A letter setting out the Lincolnshire-wide specialist commissioning pressures has been sent to the Leicestershire and Lincolnshire Area Team. This highlights a total pressure of £10.9m across Lincolnshire.

“However, within this the majority of pressures (£7.5m) are due to Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Papworth Hospitals, of which South Lincolnshire is the majority user.”
