PERFORMANCE: A clinical commissioning group has had to resort to “verbal feedback” to monitor its contract with a provider trust.
South Warwickshire CCG’s July finance report said no contract monitoring was received in month one.
“It is understood that South Warwickshire Foundation Trust have had delays in preparing this information. In addition, no national data is yet available from the secondary user service system; the system used to collate and process trust data for contracting purposes.
“Verbal feedback from the trust indicates that there has been underperformance against the elective elements of this contract and the emergency elements are [on a block contract].
“We can therefore be reasonably confident that the contract is not over-performing; the risk area being high cost drugs.”
