COMMERCIAL: South West Ambulance Service Foundation Trust is exploring the possibility of running out of hours services in Hampshire.

A document submitted to the Co-operation and Competition Panel in support of the trust’s takeover of Great Western Ambulance Service reveals SWASFT had expressed an interest in providing out of hours services in Hampshire before NHS Hampshire withdrew the tender.

The trust has also had conversations with West Hampshire clinical commissioning group in relation to other out of hours contracts. Both areas are outside of the area where the trust provides emergency services.
