FINANCE: Contract agreements in Hampshire are being held up by a lack of clarity around the allocation of resources to specialised commissioning.

Board papers for West Hampshire clinical commissioning group for May said: “There continues to be challenges in the whole system around the allocation of resources and adjustments made in relation to the specialist commissioning transfer (maximum take), which is making the agreement of contract value more complicated.

“These are being worked through and agreed as appropriate on a case by case basis.

“This issue increases the overall risk in the plan due to the uncertainty over the CCG’s final level of funding and has delayed the agreement of some contracts as we wait to finalise the related allocation adjustments to ensure the affordability of the agreed contracts.”
