WORKFORCE: North Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group chief officer Mark Taylor has resigned.
The CCG confirmed to HSJ on Tuesday that Mr Taylor, who has been at the helm of the CCG since it was established, was stepping down from the role.
News of Mr Taylor’s departure was included in board papers for Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust’s June board meeting, but no further details were provided.
Mr Taylor has spent 25 years in senior leadership positions in the NHS. He was previously chief executive of Broadland Primary Care Trust and deputy chief executive of Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Care Trust.
CCG’s chair Anoop Dhesi said: “Mark has played a key role in the running of the CCG since its formation and his leadership has been integral to its success. On behalf of the CCG, I would like to thank Mark for all his hard work and wish him well in the future.”
Mr Taylor said: “Essentially, after more than 30 years in NHS management I have decided that now is the right time for me to do something different career-wise.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the CCG and it has been a pleasure working with such a committed and professional team over the past few years. I know they will continue to work to improve healthcare for the people of North Norfolk and rural Broadland.”
