PERFORMANCE NHS Norfolk & Waveney PCT cluster is “very concerned” about the high incidence of pressure ulcers across all its providers, according to board papers.
The quality & patient safety committee chair’s report said: “The committee was still very concerned with regard the high incidence of pressure ulcers across all providers – though figures have lost some usefulness due to revised definitions.
“There are several pieces of work being carried out at present, including from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn Foundation Trust, and it was agreed that all such reports, including feedback from the intensive support team visit on 23rd January should feed into a pan Norfolk and Waveney discussion on preventing pressure ulcers, at the March meeting.”
