SERVICES: An agreement that North Essex Partnership Foundation Trust will host Suffolk community services has been extended into the next financial year.

NEPFT has been hosting the service since March last year while a procurement exercise was carried out. A report to NHS Suffolk’s board said this had been more complex than expected and is not now expected to be completed until March.

The extension agreement will see NEPFT running the service for an additional three months with options for further extensions.

NEPFT will receive a £30,000 a month management fee and a risk share agreement has been scrapped.

The board heard that the date when services would be handed over to a new operator or operators remained uncertain.
