STRUCTURE: Haltwhistle Health Centre in Northumberland is to have a £1.7m overhaul, extending facilities.
The building would be modernised and include new clinical areas. The funding is provided by the PCT Cluster NHS North of Tyne.If planning permission is approved, the practice will move into temporary accommodation near the site for six months while the work is carried out.
The extensive refurbishment will take around six months and the services currently on the site will have to move into temporary accommodation near to the building.
It is expected that this will be from September 2012 onwards with a new refurbished centre opening from spring 2013, subject to planning permission being granted.
