WORKFORCE: Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals has had applications for the mutually agreed resignation scheme approved for 31 staff as it tries to reduce staff costs.
Staff were due to begin leaving from February onwards. A report to the board said it hopes it will help reduce the over-spend on pay, which was £6,946 in December when the trust was employing 113 more whole time equivalents than plan.
To help reduce costs further, managers and staff are booking and taking annual leave during 2010-11 to avoid annual leave accrual costs in the final accounts.
Salary over-payments are also being more proactively managed by the senior clinical management teams.
