PERFORMANCE: Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Health FT is missing a key PCT target by more than 20 per cent.
The trust is contracted to make sure at least 95 per cent of patients aged 18 to 65 being treated under the Care Programme Approach (CPA) - where a programme of care is agreed with the patient and reviewed on a regular basis - have been reviewed in the past six months. In December just 71.2 per cent, or 2,416 patients, had been reviewed within the timescale.
In the past 12 months 91.4 per cent of CPA patients have been reviewed although this is still behind the separate Monitor target of 95 per cent.
Performance against the PCT’s six month target has been improving from a low of around 60 per cent in April but based on current performance the trust will not meet the PCT target by year end.
