PERFORMANCE: The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre has met all 45 requirements of the Information Governance Toolkit, and reported a successful upgrade of its electronic patient record system.
The trust’s June board meeting was told that a successful upgrade of the Cerner Millennium system was completed at the beginning of May.
“Post go live issues were minimal”, chief executive Jan Fowler’s report said, and the trust is now effectively running the new version of the system.
Ms Fowler commended staff from the trust, Cerner, the southern programme for IT and BT, which own the contract for implementing care records systems in the region, “for the highly effective team work demonstrated”.
Training is now underway to enable the system’s clinical functionality to be implemented.
On the Information Governance Toolkit, the trust achieved an overall score of 66 per cent, or satisfactory, completing all 45 of the toolkit’s requirements.
