FINANCE: Oxfordshire Learning Disability NHS Trust is predicting a year end surplus more than 65 per cent less than plan.
The trust was planning for a year end surplus of £372,000 but is forecasting an actual surplus of £128,000. An £81k surplus was generated in December but overspends earlier in the year have adversely effected the position.
However, the finance report for the trust, which is in the middle of a foundation trust application, states: “Savings plans are weighted towards the end of the year. Savings from social care restructuring appear to be on target; across the Trust WTEs are reducing month on month.”
