Central London Community Healthcare Trust: Simply the best, every time
‘Simply the Best, Every Time’ is Central London Community Healthcare Trust’s latest quality strategy, covering 2017-20. The key focus is on reducing unwarranted variation in care and moving the trust from a good to an outstanding rating, building on the previous quality strategy which was in place from 2013-16.
That is said to have supported the development of robust systems, processes and objectives to improve patient care, as well as speedily identifying and rectifying instances of poor practice.
A key difference is that the new strategy is grounded in a model of shared quality governance throughout the organisation. The idea is that staff and patients will be more involved in trust decisions, with significantly improved engagement alongside shared responsibility.
In recent years, there has been a reduction in the incident of pressure ulcers at the trust; 100 per cent of serious incidents and root cause analysis reports completed on time; and 100 per cent compliance with the duty of candour.
