STRUCTURE: The primary care trust has successfully migrated its children’s services but similar transfers for adult and social care have been delayed until 1 July.
Board papers set out projected progress on the transforming community services programme.
It said the transfer of Peterborough Community Services children’s services would take place on 1 April, subject to approval by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust board and completion of the necessary legal documentation.
It added that hosting arrangements for unscheduled care services with Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust would also be in place from 1 April as planned.
However, the papers state: “The transfer of adult health and social care services (including dental services) to Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust and the transfer of learning disability services to Peterborough City Council is to be deferred for a period of three months.
“A management services agreement will be put in place with Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust from 1 April to meet the national requirement for externalisation.”
This paper added that “actions [were] being undertaken to achieve transfer by no later than 1 July”, with approval from NHS East of England.
