STRUCTURE: Plymouth Community Healthcare Trust is consulting on changes to mental health recovery services that could involve the closure of nine beds.
There are currently 28 mental health recovery beds in Plymouth across three sites. The social enterprise wants to use the resources saved to move more care into the community.
Locality manager Dave McAuley said: “Providing the best possible service for people recovering from mental illness is of paramount importance to us. Evidence shows that focussing more of our resources on supporting people to recover in the community is a key part of this.”
