Any clinician within the NHS will completely agree with the above comments, we are all so tired of the numpty managers who are only in posts because they've been around long enough. Most of them do not have a single management qualification to their name (or any quality qualification for that matter).
The NHS today has an obesity problem... it is collapsing under the weight of incompetent managers, HR staff who don't know the difference between a policy and a coffee cup (but we know which one they have expertise in) and IT systems and staff from hell.
To all those who do an honest days clinical work and think the NHS can be great again I urge you to write to anyone who will listen (i.e. not your managers) and tell what a mess its in, cut management by 25% or more and we all win, clinicians and patients the people that really matter.
