We are lucky to have the team we have.

The issue this has exposed is the lack of planning, and the failure to learn from SARS or H1N1. In HK and Canada which which did learn from these, then all rooms are separately ventilated, including in the ED.

Currently, every patient (and their relatives) who go through ED gets infected, whatever they had to start with. It’s basically a COVID sheep dip.

When the Royal Commission looks into this, that is where we could and should have done much better.
