Whilst this is wonderful news, the way I understand it is that the hospitals continue to deal with all the critical patients, many expanding their Covid capacity (at the expense of other wards). This must surely create further, unbelievable strain on NHS staff ...and result in scarcity of vital equipment, eg PPE, ventilators, kidney dialysis machines, anaesthesia?
Is there information on whether vital resources, including NHS doctors and nurses, are being taken from the relatively empty Nightingale hospital and redistributed between hospitals in the capital? To reduce their strain AND SAVE LIVES?
