CQC could have been a major player in Covid, coordinating standards of clinical care and working with regions to help delivery, and this could have redeemed themselves.
It doesn’t sound like it worked out that way.

Maybe the sort of people attracted to a job inspecting and commenting on the work of the Untermenschen are less enthused by hard work?
