I find the idea of big pharma being ‘incandescent’ quite uplifting in these doom-filled days.

I did an international research project with Charles Medawar forty years ago. I had to find formularies used by what we called ‘Third World Countries’. I returned from my sojourn at the WHO in Geneva with a suitcase full of them. I’m pleased that we have finally caught up with this obviously beneficial innovation. Everywhere they’ve been I introduced, the pharma industry becomes ‘incandescent’. Good.
