PERFORMANCE: Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust has not had a case of MRSA for more than two years, it has reported.
In her report to November’s board chief executive Lezli Boswell said the success was due to a “multi-faceted approached including: changes to clinical practice, MRSA screening for all patients, strengthened policies on antibiotic prescribing, greater focus on hand washing and training and projects to upgrade wards and patient facilities”.
