FINANCE: Royal Devon and Exeter FT is predicting a year end surplus £0.4m above plan.
The year to date surplus at the end of December was £4.6m which is £1.5m above the budgeted position and £1.3m above the plan. The forecast year end position is a £4m surplus, £0.4m higher than the planned £3.6m.
This currently gives the trust a Monitor risk rating of 3 which is in line with the plan.
However, compared to the previous month the year to date and forecast surplus have deteriorated (by £0.5m and £0.4m respectively), mainly due to the impact of the winter pressures being greater than expected.
