FINANCE: The Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases FT has more than doubled its planned surplus for the year so far.
At the end of December the trust had a surplus of £66k against a planned balance of £30k. Income is above plan year to date for both PCT and education, training and research although private patient income is below plan.
The current year end forecast shows a surplus of £83k, compared with a planned surplus of £79k and assumes full utilisation of the remaining reserves of £132k.
