FINANCE: NHS London papers reveal that the specialist organisation in north west London had ended the last financial year in deficit.

Two trusts had planned to end the year in debt but RNOH’s deficit was unexpected.

The trust was £2.5m behind plan for 2010-11, recording a deficit of £911k.

The document said this was for “a range of reasons including Cost Improvement Programme slippage and underperformance on activity.”

The trust is still in the process of looking for a PFI partner so it can redevelop part of its Stanmore site.
