FINANCE: Royal Surrey County Hospital FT has saved around £80,000 since it introduced check-in and information kiosks 12 months ago, the device’s manufacturer has claimed.
Protouch Allure interactive touch screens and X5 kiosks were installed in August 2010 at seven locations across the trust.
Over 85 per cent of appointments have been booked in via a kiosk at the hospital and both outpatients and staff have reported satisfaction, according to a press release from Protouch.
The company said: “The goal was to improve customer satisfaction by reducing waiting times, provide multi lingual access to information, and to maximise departmental efficiency.”
