PERFORMANCE: Almost one in four South Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust patients failed to attend a first appointment with a consultant in January.

The did not attend rate was 23.6 per cent, against a target of 11.2 per cent.

The trust had identified ideas to improve rates.

A project in Bedfordshire and Luton has also been undertaken to analyse how behaviour affects attendance, and a report on this will be presented to the trust’s board in May.
