FINANCE: South Tees Hospitals Foundation Trust was reporting a deficit of £3.171m at the end of October.

This comes in spite of “strong performance on income which is £6.434 million ahead of plan”, according to board papers from the trust’s November governing body meeting.

The “main cause for concern” is CIP delivery. Only 71.3% of the year to date target has been delivered, a shortfall of £3.219bn.
