WORKFORCE: South Warwickshire Foundation Trust has appointed a new chair.

Russell Hardy replaces Graham Murrell, who is stepping down from the trust’s board after nine years.

Mr Hardy was previously chair of Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Foundation Trust.

Commenting on his appointment, he said: “I have been involved in healthcare for some time, so I am delighted that I will be able to work with my local foundation trust and offer my experience and strategic expertise.”

Glen Burley, South Warwickshire’s chief executive, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Russell to the trust and look forward to working with him to further develop our services.

“There are a number of exciting projects that will benefit from Russell’s extensive experience and knowledge, including the new ward block at Warwick Hospital, the build of a new hospital in Stratford and further development of our community services.”
