WORKFORCE: The Southampton, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Portsmouth primary care trust cluster is currently spending £500,000 less than planned on workforce.
The cluster’s staff in post has been under plan since April 2011, and is currently 27.5 full time equivalent less than expected.
At month three of 2012-13, SHIP was £544,000 under the planned level of expenditure on staff – or 3.4 per cent less than planned.
Sickness absence was 2.7 per cent, against a strategic health authority plan of 3 per cent.
Turnover was 9.6 per cent, below the 10 per cent SHA benchmark.
Agency usage was also under plan, at 1.4 per cent compared with 1.8 per cent.
