PERFORMANCE: Acute sector activity levels in Southampton are far exceeding planned levels, and in most areas are well above levels for last year.
First outpatient GP written referrals were up 10.1 per cent year on year by the end of July – 13 per cent worse than target.
Other outpatient referrals were 15 per worse than planned, as were consultant-led outpatient attendances.
Non-elective general and acute consultant episodes were 11 per cent over plan – more than 5 per cent up on the year before.
Only day cases and elective ordinary admissions were better than plan – 4.2 per cent and 0.8 per cent respectively.
