FINANCE: St George’s audit committee reported: “[We] have been and continue to be concerned about the high level of tender waivers raised for reason of ‘urgency’ and ‘sole supplier’ – 4.6 per cent of non-pay and capital expenditure year to date – leading to inability to demonstrate value for money.”
