COMMERCIAL: Community services in Suffolk will transfer to Serco in October, with a contract likely to be signed in the next month and a three month mobilisation period.
A report to NHS Suffolk’s board says that the contract for personal dental services will be held by Community Dental Service CIC, as Serco is unable to hold this type of contract. Serco will, however, be the accountable provider.
A separate report on the current provision - where North Essex Partnership Trust is hosting the community services temporarily - suggests the services are in good shape.
Suffolk Community Services are the only community provider not viewed as a principle risk under the SHA’s performance monitoring regime and is green rated in all areas. It has achieved financial targets and has no outstanding CQC issues.
