PERFORMANCE: The north west London trust recorded a c-section rate of 31.6 per cent for March.

The hospital said an analysis of this was underway but was thought to be down to the number of high acuity/risk patients that were admitted.

The trust said it would audit junior doctors to explain the rate which was higher than the London sector mean.

The performance report added: “A request has been made against the 2011/12 contract agreement that the section rate trajectory for Hillingdon should be set at 27.5 per cent.”

The trust was recently granted foundation trust status.
