FINANCE: The trust has cut its forecast surplus for the year from £1.2m to £800,000.
A finance report to the trust’s January board meeting said its plans to seek partnership with another trust would cost £416,000 in 2010/11.
This meant “that the Trust is very unlikely to meet its planned surplus of £1.2m and a more realistic aim is to deliver a reduced surplus of £0.8m.”
Meeting the revised target would require the trust to find additional savings of £800,000-£900,000, it added.
