FINANCE: NHS Stockport is forecasting that its £21.6m contract with the foundation trust will be overspent by more than 10 per cent this year.
By the end of January UHSM had over-performed against the contract by a total of £1.8m for the year to date, board documents from the primary care trust show.
They forecast that by the end of 2010-11 the overspend would increase to £2.3m.
In total, the commissioner expects its acute and specialist providers to over-perform by £5.4m, with the UHSM overspend making the largest single element of that figure.
