FINANCE: The foundation will over-perform on its £66.2m contract with NHS Manchester by £5.1m, the primary care trust forecasts.

The commissioner anticipates a £4.315m over-spend on non-elective procedures with the foundation in 2010-11, £481,000 on elective procedures, and £296,000 on outpatients.

A report attached to NHS Manchester’s latest finance report attributes £2.760m of the forecast overspend to demand growth above its original assumptions, and £2.332m to “non-delivery of demand management” measures.
