FINANCE: West Yorkshire QIPP schemes - centred on the critical service reconfiguration of Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust - face “significant political and reputational risks”, the area’s QIPP tracker admits.
The regional Yorkshire and the Humber QIPP tracker says: “MY has declared a financial deficit and has announced plans for service reconfiguration. These plans have a potentially significant impact on the future model of services. There are significant political and reputational risks associated with the proposed changes.
“A MY Partnership Programme Board is established to oversee the reconfiguration and formal consultation processes. The membership of the Board includes both NHS Wakefield and NHS North Kirklees CCGs. A series of consultative meetings with local clinicians and representatives of the public have or are being delivered.”
